Andrew J. Aelvoet

Andrew Aelvoet received a B.B.A in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1993 and a J.D. from St. Mary's University in San Antonio in December of 1996. Following his graduation from law school, he joined Nunley, Davis, Jolley and Hill, where he practices in the areas of real estate transactions; water law, including Chapter 36 water districts and the Edwards Aquifer Authority; banking; wills; probate; collections and litigation. Mr. Aelvoet has extensive experience in water law and has made presentations on groundwater rights and property rights to the Kerr County Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association Environmental Law Section, and the State Bar of Texas seminar entitled "The Changing Face of Water Rights in 2002". In addition, he had authored "Advising Your Land Owner Client How to Protect His/Her Groundwater Rights", which he presented at the 2002 seminar.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Aelvoet was a partner with A and P Cattle Feeders in Hondo, Texas, for ten years, where he handled the company's financing, budget and record-keeping arrangements. From 1979 to 1991, he was a partner with Bel-Tex Farms in Hondo managing agricultural productions and operations, negotiating sales transactions and promoting cattle services. Mr. Aelvoet has been involved in numerous civic organizations in the central Texas area, including serving as director of the Medina County Water Protection & Conservation Association, director of the Medina Economic Development Foundation and as a participant in the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Program. A native of Hondo, Texas, his professional activities include membership in the State Bar of Texas and the Medina County Bar Association.
